Fashion, Music and Blog Vest

This is a busy week for both music and fashion. Paris haute couture shows have just started with an acclaimed collection by Donatella Versace, but the spotlight was definitely on the eagerly awaited debut collection by Raf Simons for Dior.

He did manage to pull it off beautifully, conquering the affection of the fashion press and ending the long speculation about John Galliano's replacement. The couture show was elegant and refined, not dramatic but unmistakingly chic and feminine.

Regarding Donatella Versace's couture collection, it was a fabulous display of her signature sexy style with amazing seductive dresses in sorbet colours, playing around with corsetry and print.

This week, it's also the beginning of Worldwide Festival in Sète, the most fascinating small town on the French Mediterranean coast. Gilles Peterson is the artistic director of this unique experience of cutting edge music.
