Stacy Keibler in Marchesa and Meryl Streep in Lanvin |
Both George Clooney and Brad Pitt went home without the best actor award, loosing it to Jean Dujardin for his role in The Artist, the highly acclaimed film that won also the best picture and best director awards.
Rose Byrne in Vivienne Westwood and Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace |
The dramatic black dress did make an appearance on the red carpet, Angelina Jolie was looking fabulous wearing a Versace atelier black velvet dress while Rose Byrne chose a sparkling Vivienne Westwood with super high Jimmy Choo shoes.
Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen |
There was one black dress with golden embellishments on the red carpet, an incredible hand-embroidered gown by Alexander McQueen. Jessica Chastain was a vision of bespoke elegance!
Leslie Mann in Roberto Cavalli and Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad |
I also love the figure hugging dresses with a tale worn by Leslie Mann and Jennifer Lopez. Both are sparkling and sexy, revealing the feminine curves. Leslie Mann went for a midnight blue Roberto Cavalli while Jennifer Lopez decided to give prominence to Parisian Haute Couture with a Zuhair Murad nude dress.
Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton |
Michelle Williams was definitely bold enough to wear red on the red carpet and this is my favourite dress of the Oscars' ceremony, a ravishing Louis Vuitton gown. It's so poetic! And with all the little ruffles and frills it couldn't be any more trendy!
