Paolo Roversi, Guinevere sitting on table, Paris, 2004 |
The Wapping Project Bankside is displaying a solo exhibition of his work, so if you're coming to London in the coming weeks don't miss the opportunity to have a close look of Roversi's series of singular platinum, silver gelatin and pigment prints, evidence of his passion for craft and technique.
Roversi's work is still printed together with his son Filippo in his studio in Paris, where he lives since 1973. He's originally from Ravenna and you can sense his Italian roots, they are surrounded by beautiful sculptures and women are culturally glorified.

Paolo Roversi photographed the Haute Couture fashion editorial of Vogue Italia last September with an incredible artistry, bringing a whimsical and out of this world quality to the images, enhanced by the amazingly beautiful dresses.
Natalia Vodianova for Guerlain Shalimar perfume advertising campaign was also shot by Roversi, she is a stunning woman whose beauty has been captured by the best photographers of our time, but Roversi's portraits of her are definitely my favourite.

His nude photographs are disarming and captivating. Models are naturally poised, somehow he manages to bring out an unseen side of them and enchant us with his sense of beauty and intimacy.
