Red Carpet: Golden Globes Dresses

We all know the Golden Globe Awards winners, it was a memorable evening with Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet validating once again their position as the most versatile and powerful actresses in Hollywood.

Lea Michele in Marchesa and Dianna Agron in Giles

Los Angeles attracts a global audience and for designers this is a precious opportunity to shine and get worldwide recognition through the captivating allure of a beautiful actress.

Images of the red carpet were instantly multiplied on the Internet for the whole world to see and fashionistas, bloggers and journalists passed judgement on the most striking fashion choices.

I was pleased to see three dresses from my yesterday's selection on the red carpet: Lea Michele was stunning in the Marchesa silver dress, Dianna Agron chose the red Giles dress and Nicole Kidman wore the Versace dress with golden embellishments.

Nicole Richie chose Julien Macdonald, not what I have selected but another silver dress and she looked amazing. Both Kate Winslet and Claire Danes decided to go for the elegant black and white combination and they both ended up with a shiny golden globe in their hands, so congratulations!

Madonna in Reem Acra and Charlize Theron in Chistian Dior

Madonna and Charlize Theron opted for more extravagant fashion, Madonna in Reem Acra and Theron in Christian Dior. Natalie Portman could almost sing 'diamonds are a girl's best friend' in her Lanvin bright pink dress...

Two of my favourite red carpet dresses are from Emma Stone, ravishing also in Lanvin and Salma Hayek, gorgeous in Gucci. Some actresses don't have a dress from the catwalk but go the extra mile and have a dress designed specifically for them on this particular occasion.

This was also the case of my absolute favourite dress of the evening, it has an old glamour feel of the 50s silver screen and Angelina Jolie couldn't look more like a movie star in her incredibly beautiful Versace dress.
